RockTape - Kinesiology Tape Instruction - Collar Bone
This video details the steps on applying RockTape Kinesiology Tape to the collar bone. This application is simple and effective for reducing pain associated with a previously broken collar bone. If this is a recent injury, apply tape with caution to avoid further injury.
Start with our standard 2 inch tape and measure the first strip from neck to shoulder over the collar bone. Measure a second strip from chest to over the shoulder, where the pain exists. Round the tape’s corners to avoid catching on gear or clothing.
Stretch the skin by carefully rolling the shoulder back. With the first strip, tear an end then anchor collar bone just under the neck. Pull away the release paper, taping over the collar bone with no stretch. Rub to activate the adhesive.
For the second strip, tear the center of the release paper to expose the adhesive. With slight stretch, apply the tape to the affected area perpendicular to the first strip. Lay down the ends with no added stretch, then rub to activate the adhesive.
